February 2021

The February 2021 Financial Fairness Tracker aimed to identify which groups were falling through the cracks of the government pandemic support packages.

Research suggests 3.8 million adults in Britain (between 6-7%) were living with reduced earnings as a direct result of the pandemic and not furloughed or getting help from the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme. Of these, almost half lost a third or more of their total household income – around five times more than among the rest of the population.
